Daito-ryu aikijujutsu is a famous martial art that combines high level technical jujutsu skills and aiki techniques. The written history of the art starts from Takeda Sokaku (1860-1943), who is referred as the founder of the art. Today it is the most well known traditional jujutsu art in the world.

Takumakai is the biggest Daito-ryu aikijujutsu group in Japan. It is founded by students of Hisa Takuma and Nakatsu Heizaburo. Hisa Takuma was a student of Uesiba Morihei and Takeda Sokaku and he was the only person who received Menkyo Kaiden (Cerftificate of Full Proficiency) from Takeda Sokaku.

We practice mainly a Japanese martial art called Daito-ryu aikijujutsu. There are only two Daito-ryu aikijujutsu Takumakai study groups in Ukraine, which operates in Kyiv and Poltava. Our teacher is Jyrki Rytilä, Takumakai Finland, Takumakai's representative in Europe.
